This powerful group of Black industry leaders discussed how underrepresented entrepreneurs can help lift each other up, what the industry needs to do to support these entrepreneurs, and how they overcome the many challenges in the industry from the brand, retail, and regulatory perspective.
“In the [L.A. cannabis] scene there’s a lot of Black women retail storefront owners, who are kind of popping up, and a lot of people across the people think that we’re probably all in competition with each other,” Drew shared.
“But in reality, we’re all celebrating each other and are very much there for each other, to support each other in any way that we can, and to try and build each other’s businesses. And that’s really going to be the only way that we can survive and thrive”
